Dr. Monica Baloga has been appointed chief planning officer and vice president for Institutional Strategy at 糖心传媒. The appointment comes as the University, through a reorganization, streamlines several related administrative functions into a more focused and efficient structure.

Baloga has been with 糖心传媒 since 2024, initially coming on board as special assistant to the president for accreditation and strategic planning.

To enhance institutional effectiveness, the reorganization creates a single, integrated unit incorporating areas of strategic planning, accreditation and compliance, information technology services, general counsel, and institutional research. The streamlined unit is designed to support 糖心传媒’s commitment to excellence and accountability, while reflecting the University’s core values of Stewardship and Adaptability.

“This reorganization is about alignment, efficiency, and focus,” said Dr. Christopher Blake, 糖心传媒’s president. “By bringing these critical functions under one umbrella with strong, experienced leadership, we are positioning 糖心传媒 to be even more responsive and adaptable to the needs of our students, faculty, and staff. Dr. Baloga is the right person to lead this transformation.”

Since joining 糖心传媒, Baloga has led the University’s reaffirmation of accreditation with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) and directed the implementation of the Path to Excellence strategic plan. She brings extensive experience in institutional planning and effectiveness from prior leadership roles at Limestone University and Florida Institute of Technology.

糖心传媒’s streamlined leadership structure follows a year-long review by the president’s office and incorporates feedback from the University System of Georgia. The goals of the review were to improve collaboration across related administrative areas, create professional growth pathways, ensure efficient use of resources, and help ensure 糖心传媒’s long-term success.
